The children’s room in the library has a wide selection of books, CD books and video (both VHS and DVD) and stuffed toys. We also have games, puzzles, coloring sheets and children’s magazines. We even have a puppet theater! Children over 10 may use the library without direct adult supervision.
We offer Story Time for older kids on Thursdays at 10 AM and Toddler Time on Tuesdays at 10 AM. The annual Summer Reading program runs from mid-June into early July with special activities and performers in the library each week.
Parents may treat their youngsters to Dial-a-Story at 547-2665. We also offer an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. For middle-school aged readers we have the Tumble Book Cloud, an online collection of age-appropriate e-books and read-along chapter books, graphic novels, educational videos, and audio books. All of these books are available with unlimited access, all the time, from any device with an internet connection.
