About the City Manager
The Office of the City Manager provides overall management of operations and services for the City of Copperas Cove. The office is directly responsible for ten (10) department directors and the various operations they manage including: Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, Solid Waste, Library, Golf Course, Parks and Recreation, Police, Fire and Water/Wastewater.
As Chief Executive Officer for the City, the City Manager provides leadership and direction for implementation of those policies and priorities set by the City Council, and the laws of the State of Texas. The position is appointed by the City Council and serves at their discretion.
The mission of the City Manager’s Office is to provide high quality services to the citizens of Copperas Cove in the most efficient and effective manner possible, while maintaining a highly accountable operation for the public funds in which the office has been entrusted.
