Fire Department Operations
The Operations Division is overseen by the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations/Emergency Management Coordinator who is supported by three Battalion Chiefs, 6 Captains, and a staff of 36 shift firefighters. This team is responsible for delivering direct emergency services to an estimated 50,000 residents of Copperas
Cove and Coryell, Bell, and Lampasas Counties.
These responsibilities include:
• Fire Suppression
• Emergency Medical Services
• Rescue Operations
• Apparatus Specification and Purchasing
• Apparatus Maintenance and Testing
• Mutual Aid
• Fire Hydrant Maintenance
• Safety
• Equipment Maintenance
• Hose Testing
We provide these services from three (3) strategically located fire stations. Fire apparatus and ambulances are staffed 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
