PARAMEDIC REQUIREMENT
All new employees who do not currently hold a TDSHS Paramedic/Licensed Paramedic Certification will be required to obtain this certification in accordance with Copperas Cove Fire Department Policy.
MILITARY PREFERENCE
Military credit of five (5) points will be added to the overall hiring process score to those applicants who provide a DD-214 (MEMBER 4 COPY ONLY) showing type of discharge and a minimum of two (2) years of active military service at the time of application. Any discharge other than honorable discharge is not creditable. Points will only be awarded to applicants after they have passed the Written Exam, EMS Scenario and Physical Ability Course.
