Texas Power Switch makes it easy to switch to clean, affordable energy for your home.
The Texas Power Switch is a group energy buying program that allows residents to join together and benefit from lower electricity rates through volume purchasing. As an added bonus, all electricity plans are comprised of 100% renewable energy which benefits the natural environment.
There is no cost and no obligation associated with the program. It provides a mechanism to help residents better understand the confusing, deregulated energy market and potentially provides a pathway to saving money on electric bills. The more people that register for the program, the better the opportunity for the Texas Power Switch team to secure a low-cost deal.
How it works
- Sign Up: Register for the program by September 26, 2023 if your current electricity contract ends between October 11, 2023 and January 30, 2024. Even if you’ve participated in the program before, please register again for the current auction.
- Rate Announcement:Texas Power Switch will accept electricity rate bids from providers and the provider who offers the cheapest rates gets to offer you a new electricity contract.
- Personal Offer: After the auction, residents will receive a personal offer by October 12, 2023.
- Accept or Decline:After receiving your offer, you have until November 1, 2023 to accept or decline. If you choose to accept, Texas Power Switch will take care of the switching process with your new electricity provider.
