About the Police Department
The Copperas Cove Police Department is organized into two major divisions lead by the two Deputy Chiefs of Police. The two divisions are the Uniform Services Division and the Support Services Division. Professional Standards are coordinated through the Office of the Chief of Police.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Copperas Cove Police Department is to provide the citizens it serves with a safe and secure community; accomplished by working in a partnership to protect life and property, maintain order, enforce laws and ordinances, and uphold the constitutional rights of all persons.

Uniform Services
Uniform Services are led by a Captain and consists of Patrol Services, which includes three shifts that provide 24 hour a day coverage; Special Operations Services, which includes the Motorcycle Traffic Section and the School Enforcement Section. Other responsibilities under this section include SWAT and the Law Enforcement Explorer Program. The Code Compliance Department is also included under Uniform Services.

Support Services
Support Services are also led by a Captain and provides a multitude of services to the department. Included within this division are the Criminal Investigation Section; the Organized Crime Unit; an Administrative Lieutenant who is responsible for Community Relations and Public Information; a Lieutenant responsible for the Training and Personnel Section, which includes the supervision of Police Cadets and the Field Training Program; the Communications Section; an Evidence Custodian; and the Records Section. The Animal Control Department is also included under Support Services.
