About Solid Waste

The goal of the Solid Waste Department is to work as a team to provide customers friendly solid waste services in a safe and professional manner, at a competitive rate for the citizens of Copperas Cove. The Solid Waste Department is responsible for the efficient management and operation of the Solid Waste Operational Center, which consists of residential, recycling, brush and commercial collections, proper disposal at the transfer station, and the collection of recyclables through its recycling center. This department also oversees the curbside pick-up of solid waste generated by residential households. This includes the oversight to ensure that a high quality of service is provided to all Copperas Cove residents.

Central Texas College Enactus has partnered with the City of Copperas Cove to help residents recycle their used cooking oil FREE through one central location.

The Transfer Station is open five Saturdays per year from 8:00am-12:00pm:

 The 4th Sat in April
 The 3rd Sat in June
 The last Sat in September
